About Virginia Lo Ying chiu
Virginia Lo Ying chiu is a Hong Kong long-distance runner. She achieved the title of champion in the women's 10-kilometer Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in 2021, completing the race in 36 minutes and 27 seconds. In 2023, she also secured the championship in the women's half-marathon category of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, finishing with a time of 1 hour, 20 minutes, and 23 seconds. Prior to her running career, she worked as a middle school teacher. However, she resigned from teaching in 2022 to pursue running, primarily participating in ten kilometers, half-marathons, and marathons.
